Economic power is real power

Economic Empowerment is one of the best ways of developing a country. Investing in Women sets a direct path towards gender equality, the extermination of poverty and economic growth.

Diversity amongst leaders

The World needs more women leaders to cultivate a dynamic society with innovative ideas and sustainable growth. WE works to raise awareness, spread knowledge, lobby on politicians and promote the growth of future fair businesses.

Cross border dialogue for a wiser economy worldwide.

We believe that through dialogue it is possible to develop a wiser and more sustainable economy globally. We want to contribute to a better World through promoting the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge across borders.

Wise Economy Global Association(WE) is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit Swedish association. WEs has organizational partners in 14 countries and  24 years of experience from Gender Equality, Women's Economic Empowerment, Human Rights and Democracy projects. The projects have always had the goal of capacity building of NGOs and Networks.

WE had a Frame Agreement on Gender Projects with Sida and many different projects were implemented between 1998 and 2004.

We implemented three Sida financed two-year projects on women entrepreneurship in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia in cooperation with Cape Town Chamber of Commerce.

Some results; 56 NGOs have been capacity built in 14 developing countries and approximately 90 % of them still exist. 55,000 women have been trained - about 30 % of entrepreneurship has companies today, 20 % of the politicians were elected, 5 % ended up in their country’s parliament at the time. 8,000 men were trained in Fatherhood in cooperation with the Swedish NGO Men for Gender Equality.

Volunteering & internship

It’s wonderful that so many want to do their internship at Wise Economy but we currently do not accept applications.

Wise Economy do not send volunteers overseas. We recruit our forces locally to ensure local knowledge and sustainable growth. Are you local and want to get engaged? Contact the national partner.

Minor Field Study

Minor Field Studies (MFS) is a Sida funded scholarship programme administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).
